Part# 08000145 - Workhorse Starter Asm (New)

Please note that this starter comes in two different configurations and we aren't able to know which one you will receive! One has internal motor to gear bolts and the other has external motor to gear bolts. These two configurations require a different heat shield so your original heat shield may not fit.

Description:

  • Brand New Workhorse Starter for GM gas Engines in Workhorse Chassis.

Does the 08000145 starter come with heat shield and is this a direct replacement for the original starter? ( Rory Allshouse, 09/14/2024 )
This is the original spec starter but they do come in two different variations even though it's the same part. This makes it to where sometimes the original heat shield will not fit the replacement starter. As long as we are not out of stock on them, we do include a replacement heat shield to overcome this issue. ( Support )
