The fan clutch should start engaging around 208 degrees Fahrenheit and become fully locked up around 218 degrees Fahrenheit. ( Support )

i am looking for a fan clutch for a 12/03 workhorse chassis. it has a 6.5 chev turbo diesel with auto transmission. vehicle has been shipped to australia and has a winnebago body fitted ( NATHAN COOPER, 05/28/2023 )

Unfortunately it appears that the fan clutch for your vehicle has been discontinued. The part # was 15030174. The only option you might have is to remove the part and try to match it up at a parts store. ( Support )

Fastener Tightening Specifications:

Fan to clutch: 17 ft lbs
Clutch to water pump: 41 ft lbs

Operation Information:

Engine fan clutch on motor home 8.1L equipt units kick in at about 178 Degrees F and is fully engaged at 201 degrees F. This is air temperature past the fan clutch hub. It is not coolant temperature.
