Received the new part today - thank you. I haven't yet removed the old part. Before I do, can you share a basic description of the use of the metal jacket and grease? It appears that the jacket fits on the cylinder body before inserting. Is the grease used to coat around the entire cylinder before inserting, or just the tip? Or is the tip kept grease free? Do you recommend dielectric grease on the electrical connection? Thank you in advance. ( Ricky Hunkins, 03/22/2024 )
The grease will just need to be used around the sides of the sensor, inside the metal sleeve and not on the tip. The metal sleeve is just there to protect the sensor shaft from rubbing on the inside of the sensor hole. The use of dielectric grease is a good idea on any electrical connection that is exposed to the elements.
IS THE CORRECT SENSOR FOR MY 2000 Monaco Knight motor home? ( Jerry Michael Lane, 08/22/2021 )
Hello Jerry ,  we don't have a way to verify that , you can try Rev-Group at 877-466-6226 .  ( they own Monaco)
Looking for the right front abs sensor ( Daniel, 08/03/2021 )
W8001709 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor is correct for your chassis, they are the same sensor for all 4 locations .
What is the correct speed sensor for front left wheel ( Beverly Sheffer , 11/19/2020 )
W8006778 is the correct left hand front sensor for your VIN: https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/W8006778-Left-Front-ABS-Sensor-P32-Chassis
Is it possible to clean off the speed sensor with alcohol as a temporary fix to determine which sensor needs to be replaced? I recently had both tie rod ends changed at a truck repair shop, and as a coincidence when i started up my unit at the shop, the ABS light was on. the service personal stated the did not touch the sensors. ( Dale Lufkin, 11/03/2020 )
Yes, you can pull the sensors out and clean and re-insert to see if that corrects the issue. You can also test the resistance of the sensor, there should be between 900 to 2000 ohms measured between the two pins. To measure the resistance at the sensor connector, disconnect the sensor from the sensor extension cable. Connect the ohmmeter to the two sockets on the sensor cable.
