It is mentioned many times throughout all the steering manuals for W series, but there is not a section for disassembly/reassembly for what they call the shift lock, and park lock assembly. Also your VIN calls for a different part # ,

Hello Charles, the Solenoid Asm interlock BTSI 26042494 is only to unlock the shift lever , the ignition cylinder for your chassis is 26049532 - Cylinder-Ignition and does not include keys , it would need to be fitted to your key(s) by a locksmith. The other part that may be an issue is the " cylinder unit" that the ignition cylinder fits into is part # 26036474 . The "cylinder-Ignition" is a special order item with a lead time of 3-5 business days.

BTSI stands for Brake Transmission Solenoid Interlock. It is a solenoid that prevents the transmission from being shifted out of park until the service brake pedal is depressed.
