2001 GMC 3500 pick up truck. I'm looking to purchase your spark plug wires and plugs. The wires seem of top quality, so the price probably reflects that! However---

Your spark plugs 41-101 picture show they are NOT OEM Delco's...why would I spend 80$ for 8 plugs when I can get those non-delco's for 22$ for 8plugs?

Also...in the question area.....out of one breath U say leave gap of 60...but then in other question you say gap at 45...what gap is it?

Hello Doug , our spark plugs are the AC-Delco 41-101's . We no longer recommend tightening the gap as it doesn't really make a difference with our wires and the iridium is easy to damage when closing the gap . They come pre-gapped to 0.060 , not a bad idea to verify though( carefully) .

I'm unsure what to do about the GAP on the 41-101. I'm installing the kit on my vortec 8.1, it seems like you recommending I gap the plugs to .045? Is that right? I want the best performance, of course. ( Harold Tomlinson, 03/01/2023 )

Hello Harold, the Iridium spark plugs (41-101) should come pre-gapped to 0.060 , and are not recommended to be "gapped" any tighter .

Yes those are the correct spark plugs for your application. They come pre-gapped at .060 but a lot of people have seen an improvement by reducing the gap to .045.
