Koni 8805-1020

Description:

Koni Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers provide superior handling characteristics without compromising ride comfort. The FSD is firm where you need it, such as through corners, but rides soft over expansion joints and rough roads. A special valve filters out annoying vibrations before they enter the vehicle, resulting in a smooth ride over a variety of road surfaces.

Looking for front and rear shocks for my 2008 Fleetwood Discovery with the I beam frontend. ( Ray Maier, 08/29/2024 )

Hello Ray, we have the Koni" FSD "shocks for that as well as the new Koni " EVO" series shocks .

    They are :

    8805-1020 - FRONT Freightliner XC I-Beam '93-Current (Koni FSD)

8805-1022 - REAR Freightliner XC  (Koni FSD) Koni Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers provide superior handling characteristics without compromising ride comfort. The FSD is firm where you need it, such as through corners, but rides soft over expansion joints and rough roads. A special valve filters out annoying vibrations before they enter the vehicle, resulting in a smooth ride over a variety of road surfaces. or :

    9905-1030 - FRONT Freightliner XC I-Beam '93-Current (Koni EVO)

9905-1031 - REAR Freightliner XC  (Koni EVO) The EVO series is Koni's latest shock design. The main difference between the FSD and the EVO series piston is that it is almost 40% larger than the FSD series (50 mm vs 36 mm). The larger size means that it can take a lot more force, or the same force with less pressure which helps with cooling and better responsiveness. The larger body diameter allows for more oil capacity which also helps with cooling and increases the longevity of the shock. EVO series has a higher tensile strength than previous Koni designs. EVO incorporates open intake valves + FSD technology which exceeds the performance of FSD technology alone

Hello. I’m interested in replacing front and rear shocks on my 2005 Fleetwood Expedition 34H. It is on a Freightliner XC chassis.
I believe the correct Koni FSD would be 8055-1020 for the front and 8055-1022 for the rear, but wanted to confirm before ordering. Please let me know if these are the correct P/Ns. Thanks!
    ( Tim Howlett, 04/15/2024 )

Looking to replace shocks and bell crank on 2008 Itasca Meridian 37H. Any other handling upgrades to make steering not so sloppy (I have a lot of play in steering wheel)? I have already installed SafeTPlus.
Appropriate part numbers would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    ( Edward Geske, 04/13/2022 )

    Hi Edward,

This is what i found you can upgrade your bushings on your existing  sway bar that would be part # 4139-130 or upgrade to a 1209-136 front anti swaybar which would replace the existing one. . Below I have attached a link to the stage 2 suspension upgrade package for your Vin.  You can pick and choose which parts you would like.

4139-130 - Factory Front Anti-sway Bar Poly Bushing Kit For Freightliner XC I-Beam

    1209-136 - Upgraded Front Anti-Sway Bar for Freightliner XC I-Beam (1993-2015)

Yes you have a beam axle so the 8805-1020 would be correct for the front and 8805-1022 would be correct for the rear. We currently do have these in stock: https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/Koni-RV-Shocks/Koni-Shocks-Freightliner&filter=29 ( Support )

This is for a 2007 Bounder Diesel with a Freightliner XC I Beam axle front w/air bags. Will this Koni front and rear shock fit this coach? If so, how long would it take to get the 4 shocks to Naples Fl. 34105? Thanks ( jim cukla, 06/05/2019 )
8805-1020 for the front and 8805-1022 for the rear would be correct. It takes 5 business days to receive these shocks in Florida with our free shipping.  ( Support )
2018 Discovery LXE 40g (XCM chassis). Ordered 8805-1022 & 8805-1020 earlier this week. Can you tell me the torque values for the top and bottom bolts for both front & rear/? Thanks in advance. ( JEREMY TINGLER, 05/17/2019 )

I want to order front and rear shocks for our 2005 Newmar Northern Star. This is the straight axle front with air bags, Correct me if I am wrong but would the correct part numbers be 8805-1020 front and
8805-1022 rear? Also, do you have a package price for all four shocks if purchased together? Is shipping free or? And lastly, can you recommend an installer in the Cleburne Texas area (near Dallas).

    Thanks in advance

    ( Charles Ketchum, 03/23/2019 )
The 8805-1020 for the front and 8805-1022 for the rear would be the correct shocks for your coach.  I don't have any recommended installers in that area but most any truck or even auto mechanic should have no issues doing the install. ( Support )
re: KONI 8805-1020 XC Front If only installed on the front & not on the rear does that cause complications, since the front would have "select dampening" and the rear would not? ( Steve Shelton, 01/17/2019 )
We always encourage replacing all shocks at the same time, especially if changing over to the Koni as they are hydraulic versus gas charged which is typically on there. You can always start with the front and do the rears later, we have a number of customers that do this. ( Support )
This is for a 2007 Dynamax 260 st RV... Built on a 2005 Freightliner M2 106. I need front shocks
the length from top to bottom bolt is 17 3/4 ". Both top and bottom bolt are 3/4 "
    ( steve mnas, 07/06/2018 )
We do not have a listing for the Freightliner M2 but we may still have an option. We will need to have the shock removed and measured center of eye hole to eye hole both collapsed and expanded. Also, if there are any part #'s on the shock body they may help. ( Support )
Hello, I'm looking to improve my ride on a 2018 Holiday Rambler Navigator XE diesel pusher on the Freightliner XCM chassis. Not sure what part number I need for the Koni FSD, any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks, Shawn
    ( Shawn, 06/27/2018 )
That chassis model has an I-Beam front axle so the Koni FSD part # for the front is 8805-1020 and the rear is 8805-1022. ( Support )
I have a 2012 Thor Tuscany 42RQ on the Freightliner XC Raised Rail chassis. A friend with an Integra Anthem suggested these shocks as a cure to some horrible handling over highway expansion joints.

What specific part number is recommended for my application?

My friend, Andrei Grecu, dealt with Jon and was quite pleased with the service and technical assistance he received. If this can routed to Jon, that would be great.
    ( Kim Bertram, 02/02/2017 )

    Hi Kim,

Thank you for contacting us! It looks like you have an I-Beam front axle so the 8805-1020 for the front and 8805-1022 for the rear would be the correct part #'s for your application. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    ( Jon )
