Koni 8805-1010

Description:

Koni Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers provide superior handling characteristics without compromising ride comfort. The FSD is firm where you need it, such as through corners, but rides soft over expansion joints and rough roads. A special valve filters out annoying vibrations before they enter the vehicle, resulting in a smooth ride over a variety of road surfaces.

Applications:

  • Foretravel U-270 / 295 / 300 / 320 Series Front & Rear (Requires 4 shocks per axle)
  • Safari Magnum Leaf Spring Front 93-99
  • Bluebird Wanderlodge Tag Axle (Non-Steerable)
  • Replaces 88-1490 found on Country Coach steer axle

I have a 1997 Foretravel U295.
I had the 8805-1010 installed in 2013.
Are these shocks adjustable, it seems even from the start, I had a rough ride, hitting every divide in the highway seems to sound like a heavy thump.
Is the ride due to not the right psi in the tires, or is there an adjustment to have less of a thump.
Thanks,
( Alexander Kalesnikoff, 07/28/2021 )
The 8805-1010 Koni's are the FSD design, ( Frequency Selective Damping ) the are self adjusting, we would recommend having the ride height verified and set to manufactures specification and also use a tire manufacturers inflation chart to set the air pressure based on the actual scaled weight of each axle . Koni's are a hydraulic shock, they compress easily for a good ride, but control the rebound to give good handling and prevent bounce and porpoising . ( Support )
Good morning. I got my 4 Koni shocks a few days ago (8805-1010) and want to order 4 more. I put my name of your list this morning. Any idea when they will be back in stock? Thanks.
