M&G 2.0 Brake System standardizes the innovation delivered with our original braking system in this "universal fit" solution. The M&G 2.0 fits most towed vehicles made after 2018. No other supplemental brake system offers the reliability and proportional braking of our 2.0 system. This system is comprised of an air cylinder and bracket which are mounted under the hood of the towed vehicle. Up to 100 lbs. of proportional braking pressure can be delivered to your toad's brakes each time you apply the brakes in your coach. Once installed, the only thing you need to tie the braking systems of both vehicles together is a pneumatic line connected from the back of your coach to the front of your towed vehicle.

The 2.0 system is a powerful supplemental brake system that promotes safety and brings peace of mind to today's recreational vehicle drivers who tow a vehicle behind their RV. When the brakes on the coach are applied, the brake system causes the brakes on your towed vehicle to be applied simultaneously. The coach and towed vehicle brake systems work together on a synchronized basis for a safer, smoother stop. This results in reduced stopping distance of over 1/3 on test vehicles plus a far more controlled stop. This is also called a progressive or proportional car braking system.

I have a 2020 Newmar Super C with air brakes and engine braking and will be towing a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. It also has a separate air brake connection for a trailer with air brakes. Is it correct that your 2.0 system will not engage the brakes when just the engine braking is engaged, and only when the RV air brakes are engaged?

How easy and time consuming is the install?

Thanks.
( Kim, 06/28/2021 )
That is correct, the only time the brake will activate is when it receives air pressure from the coach via your brake pedal. Installation is not too bad, typical install time is 4-5 hours. ( Support )
Picking up Coach House Platinum 271XT in January - (2021 Ford E450 chassis). Will be towing 2021 Jeep Rubicon. Will your system work with this and any dealers in Southern Florida? Thanks in advance. ( Robert DiLoreto, 11/11/2020 )
The M&G system is designed for use with air brake RV's or by adding an air compressor and hydraulic proportioning valve to be used with hydraulic brake RV's, which would include yours. For your application, I would recommend either the Roadmaster Invisibrake or Demco Duo. ( Support )
What do I need for a 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie ( Dave, 12/16/2019 )
You actually already have a vacuum pump on that vehicle that you can tie into, so we can sell you the 2.0 system less the vacuum pump at a reduced cost. This would be considered special order so you would need to call in and speak with Jon to order. This would save you around $100 from the full system. We would also recommend installing a breakaway system at the same time: https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/900-M-G-Breakaway-System ( Support )
