Special Note: We have found on some RV's, particularly Tiffin, the ABS fuse & Transmission MUST be removed in order for the device to properly communicate with the ECM. The fuse location is typically in the right hand rear compartment next to the engine. We have also found that vehicles equipped with an Anti-Collision System, such as Mobile Eye, has to have its fuses removed as well. This is only on the initial load of the tune, once the device has finished programming, these systems can be re-enabled.

I have a 2014 Thor Palazzo 36.1 Motorhome w/ISB 6.7 Cummins Engine 300hp. Does this tuner come with a hardwire? I have not located an ECM port in the coach. There is a port on the rear of the coach just above the radiator area. That will require a very long hardwire. Thank you for your help. ( Michael Soukup, 12/06/2024 )
Yes it does include a cable to hook up to your 9 pin diagnostic port. You will have one up by the driver seat but sometimes the coach builders are really good at hiding them. I've found them behind dash panels, mounted to the firewall but high enough that you almost have to stick you head up in there to see, but I can guarantee you that there is one there.
I guess this has the 8.9l l9 engine with 360 hp. Its in a 2024 Renegade Verona Vrb. My question is how much power will I get from this and can we change shift points? Shifts way to soon and locks up the converter in 2nd gear. Takes a lifetime to get up to speed. My 2019 Ford v10 tune I got from you guys would Smoke this to 70 mph. The tuner does not directly program the Allison computer, however, the added power does usually change the shift characteristics. Unfortunately, the only way to make any major changes to the programming would need to be done through an Allison dealer, if they would even do it. The tuner isn't going to turn it into a hot rod but the added torque will certainly eliminate some of that lag you are experiencing.
If I have this correct mpg gains and hp gains ? How can that be possible if you increase horsepower by adding more fuel/air wouldn't that decreases mpg's ? ( Mike D., 03/02/2023 )
The PDI Big Boss Tuner comes with two tunes to choose from, Power or Economy.
DOES PULLING THE FUSES ON THE ABS & MOBILE EYE STOP THEM FROM WORKING. WHAT DOES PULLING THE TRANS FUSE DO?? ( Roland, 06/13/2021 )
You would only have to pull the fuses during the programming of the vehicle. Once it is done loading, you would just put the fuses back in.
Does this programmer change any shifting features on the transmission just seems like shifting points are not correct when towing a 8000 pound trailer what will the horsepower gains and torque gain be on this unit and will the 2500 mh transmission still be ok when pulling the trailer ( Jason , 04/26/2021 )
Hi Jason, This will indirectly change shift points; by adding power. One thing you will notice is it will not have to hold the gears as long. So this module adds about 10-15% from what you are currently at, and is CARB approved so you can use this module in all 50 states legally. Easy to use, and great tech support if you have questions.
