Description:

The UltraTrac Rear Trac Bar mounts from the frame rail to the rear axle to prevent wandering or "tail wagging the dog" issues in windy conditions or by passing trucks. This is a very popular upgrade to the Ford F53 chassis as it provides a significant increase in stability of the coach, inspiring driver confidence and less work at the wheel. Assembled from heavy-gauge steel and polyurethane bushings, this is a "no-drill" installation. Powder coated for long lasting protection and made Proudly in the USA.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

UTF53V8R - Rear UltraTrac Trac Bar Ford F53 14-18K GVW Chassis. THOR ACE 30.1 2016-2017 with 320hp Triton V10 (I understand 16-17 was a transition year for the new engine, not unsure if chassis is transition year too?). Could you please confirm the weight of this item? I'm in the UK and we have different weight classifications with respect to what can be driven on what licence.

I want to upgrade the handling of my motorhome but I do not want to add so many bolt on performance enhancements that I make the vehicle over weight and have no payload.

I'm also interested in the Roadmaster 1139-146 & 1139-148 sway bars thus if you could confirm that they are correct for my VIN and the weight of these items too, it would be really appreciated.

Finally, could you confirm that you would be able to ship a stage 3 suspension handling pack (minus the Safe-T-PLus steering control as I've just bought the Roadmaster Reflex system) to the UK.

We checked your VIN and it is a 18K GVWR chassis so the UTF53V8R is correct. The sway bars you listed are also correct, the 1139-148 is approximately 51 lbs. and the 1139-146 is approximately 63 lbs. I purchased a 2019 Thor Windstorm 29M with the F53 chassis. I have the factory rear sway bar along with an aftermarkest rear saw bar. I was wondering if this would fit my year motorhome with the added rear sway bar.

do you have a trac bar for a 2016 f53 18k chasis that bolts on the axle cover instead of the shock mounts. i have a additional sway bar that is bolted onto the the back side of the shock mounts. i see the heaver wieght f53 mounts on the pumpkin. ( roger, 04/01/2019 )

All of the 14-18K GVWR chassis are compatible with both the auxiliary sway bar and the UltraTrac rear trac bar. The UltraTrac uses the stock sway bar mounts to attach and the auxiliary sway bar uses the lower shock mounts and faces the other direction. We do not have a version that uses the pumpkin bolts. I have a THOR ACE 29.3 Ford F-53 Chassis V10. GVW 18,000. Will the Rear Track Bar UTF53V8R fit this chassis. I ask because there are sometime exceptions to how these chassis mods fit on THOR products

We have not seen any fitment issues with the THOR RV products and our rear trac bars. The 4th digit in your VIN is a "5" which puts the GVWR at between 16,000-19,500 and verifies the UTF53V8R is the correct trac bar for your coach. ( Support )

Can you reply how this UTF53VR differes from the Supersteer SS400. Specifically: rod material, diameter and bushings. Thanks.

They are made of the same material, thickness and bushings. There are some slight design changes and the color is different.
