INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The instructions for this kit (Product Code: W104K1.5) state to tighten the leaf spring U-bolts to 200 lb-ft minimum whereas the Workhorse Chassis Guide states that the leaf spring U-bolts should be tightened to 140 lb-ft. Do you know why the instructions are so much higher than the Workhorse specification? I am concerned with stripping threads with this higher value. ( Bob T, 01/23/2018 )

I would follow what Workhorse recommends...

Tighten the nuts on the U-bolts to 190 N•m (140 lb ft)..

As you pointed out, not Safe-T-Plus when it comes to the U-Bolt, as the U-bolt was supplied by Workhorse. I will contact them regarding the spec. I am sure they just went by a generic torque value for that size of U-Bolt.
