Hello
I am looking for the hydraulic brake actuator for this vehicle
( Andrew franiel, 09/18/2024 )
Hello Andrew, the W8000504N is the correct hydraulic portion of the actuator for you VIN . As long as the large "spring can" is not rusted or broken, the hydraulic portion should be all you need on the actuator . ( Support )
Do I need to replace the spring can if the actuator has been leaking or can I just replace the actuator and/or replace the seals
( Scott Hata, 07/14/2024 )
As long as the spring can portion is not rusted out or broken, the W8000504N - J71 Parking Brake Actuator (New) would be all that is needed to be replaced . We do not have seals or rebuild kits available. ( Support )
Do these come with a gasket between the mating surface to the rest of the actuator?
( jose, 05/02/2024 )
There is not a gasket between the actuator and the spring can. ( Support )

VERIFYING THAT YOUR PART #W8000504N WILL FIT THIS APPLICATION. IF SO DO YOU HAVE ONE IN STOCK FOR ORDER
( DUANE MOYER, 08/29/2023 )
This is the correct part for your VIN. We are currently out of stock on this part but should have available soon. I've set your e-mail to receive a notification when it becomes available again. ( Support )
Will this work for a 2002 sightseer.
( Brandon Nelson , 06/05/2023 )
Yes, it will. ( Support )
I have a 1996 Newmar Dutch Star a P 30 chassis with the J-71 Auto Brake. I have a W8000504N - J71 Parking Brake Actuator purchased from your company. Q is, do you have a video or know of a video on the installation of this part? I'm pretty sure it is a straightforward install, but I'm not sure how to release the pressure from the system.
Thank you in this matter'
Dave
( Dave, 11/12/2021 )
Hello Dave, I don't know of video, but if the parking brake is applied there is no hydraulic pressure in the system and the hydraulic actuator can be disconnected from the pressure line and unbolted from the Spring canister and replaced , so vehicle off, in park, no worries . ( Support )
Can you buy a rebuild kit for auto parking brake actuator for a 2004 Winnebago Brave workhorse chassis?
( Lynda Thompson, 04/24/2021 )
Hi Lynda, We only offer new ones due to the very important role they play in the parking brake system, and the damage that they can cause if they fail (Burnt up pump assembly, burnt up parking brake shoes, melted output seal on the transmission etc) . So with the high likely hood of a rebuild failing we just stay away from that route. I would recommend a W8000504N. Here is a link http://www.workhorseparts.com/W8000504R-J71-Parking-Brake-Actuator-(New) ( Support )
Can I remove the actuator from the RV without removing the spring assembly with it? It looks as if there is room to do this?
( Jack Lang, 01/26/2021 )
Yes, the actuator can be removed from the spring can. The actuator is sealed separate from the cylinder so you won't lose any fluid. ( Support )
I have a 2004 Winnebago Brave with a workhorse chassis and Allison Transmission. When I put transmission to park, it will not hold in forward position. It will hold in reverse, even when I apply the parking brake. I brought to a repair shop and they couldn't find any info on the part or how to fix it. It is very unsafe to drive as I need to jump out and chock the wheels every time I park. Please help if you have any advice.
