I understand this has been successfully installed on a 2001 P32 Workhorse 8.1L. The tube attaching to the throttle body must be heated and changed to fit. This voids the warranty. Is that all? Not a big deal. Remove the tuba and install this kit with modifications then? Is the filter element a K&N or something similar? Any other potential complications, such as MAFS or EGR or other engine ECM input? I still have been unable to find any DIY 8.1L cooling duct setup on IRV2. Thanks

This kit does not eliminate the Tuba up front unfortunately. You reuse that but enlarge the mouth piece going into the air box. It also changes the lid to where the throttle body tube and mass air flow sensor go directly into the side of the air box so that it is more of a straight shot. I'm not aware of any commerically made air intakes anymore that eliminate the tuba.
