Hi john, I see to purchase the tuner is 499.00 if I buy a knn intake at the same time will the programmer come set up for the new intake?

What is the 200.00 for? retune for new parts? Would I need to purchase that along with the programmer?

Yes, if you purchase with an intake or let us know that you have one we will tune accordingly. The $200 tune is for folks that already own an SCT X4 tuning device and only want one of our custom tunes. We do not charge to retune for small tweaks to the original tune. The reliability will not change from factory standards.

Is your unit compatible with a recently installed Banks Power Pack with Chip installed..............or are they doing much the same thing ? I don't want 2 computers fighting / confusing each other

You say it plugs into the OBD2 diagnostic port. To get a Smog Check if the technicians just plug into the OBD, it gives a "No Communication error" unless they also hook up to the Coach battery, then it reads fine. Is this lack of power to the OBD on my rig going to be an issue ? ( Scott Boyer, 09/26/2020 )

The "chip" in your PCM is the old way that you used to modify the parameters in the computer. Now we all use flash programmers which would interfere with the chip. It does sound like you aren't getting power to the proper pin on the OBD2 plug. I do not have a wiring diagram so I am unable to tell you for certain where to check for that power.

How is the unit connected to the rv engine diagnostics?

The handheld unit plugs into the OBD2 diagnostic port. This port is typically mounted to the right hand side of the steering column. There are some body builders that will move the plug to a more convenient location but that is where Ford puts it when they send the chassis to the body builder.

I have a 2001 dynamax c220. Lovely RV. Looking to tow my race car around the country. How would your product benefit my otherwise perfect running v10? I haven’t towed with it yet as I’ve only had it for a few days but I can see the need for improvements over stock

The custom tune is going to improve throttle response, horsepower and torque for pulling hills and also greatly improve the transmission shifting characteristics.
