I have 2006 Ford E450 10 cyl 14ft U-Haul van that I purchased for towing my race car. Vin number is 1FDXE45S56DA65635. Will your system work with this vehicle, what improvements can I expect, and can you send the device pre-loaded? Thanks! ( Steven G Lisa, 03/01/2020 )
Yes, we can tune your vehicle, that is not a problem. Gains would be approximately 40 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. torque and improved shipping. We would only be able to send the device pre-loaded if you have the means of pulling the strategy or calibration code with a scan tool.
I have a 2015 F53 V10
How does a tune effect tow/haul mode?
( Brian Fullerton , 02/24/2020 )
Unless requested to have something changed in tow/haul mode, we do not make changes to the shift points in this mode.
In relation to the UPFORD - Ford V10 Ultra RV Tune do I understand it correctly that I need a PC laptop with me to install the software? I live in one state and the RV is in a different state and I do not plan on taking the laptop.
Thank,
Glenn

Yes, a PC is required to transfer the e-mailed tune file to the device. Most Ford scan tools will read the strategy code, they might call it a calibration ID or something else though. If you can get that code beforehand, we can make the tune, load it to the device and send it ready to go, no computer required.

Considering using the Ford V10 Ultra RV Tune in a 2013 Class C 23' motorhome, Ford v10. Would I need to burn premium gas or could I stay with regular? Internet is not definitive. The motorhome shifts are probably the main issue I would like to change and of course if I can get other benefits, great!

Thanks,
Glenn

The tune is designed to work with 87 octane fuel, no need for premium.
a few years back, I needed to get a new ecm from ford, I had to wait over year to get one ue to lack of available parts for the ecm. Could not find a rebuilt or used one anywhere in America, believe it or not! after I got my truck back, it ran smooth and started perfectly, but the CEL was on due to canister vent valve, I eeentually bought one, installed it, and still has light on. The power is much less than before the new ecm, my mileage has dropped from around 2 to around 8, sometimes 6, will your tuner turn off the CEL" on start up" like my edge juice in my 07 duramax which is deleted?, I am guessing the ford house detuned my truck, will your tuner restore the power I once had and hopefully the mileage? We are not able to do anything with the emissions systems, including turning off codes. We tune the ECM based on the strategy code that is stored in the ECM, which if the truck was programmed from Ford incorrectly to begin with, may not net the results that you want. I would take the truck back to Ford and verify that they have the correct calibrations loaded for your VIN and have them run diagnostics on that code to find out if there really is an issue or if there is something corrupt in that ECM.
