The SG2D displays instantaneous and average fuel mileage to help you keep tabs on where you are netting your best mileage based on speed, throttle position, etc. It does not alter anything to improve fuel mileage, it just gives you more data to help you drive more efficiently.

No, I believe that vehicle it too old for this to be compatible.

Unfortunately, there is not an extension that I am aware of. We would recommend contacting Scangauge directly to see if that is something they can offer. Monaco would sometimes put this diagnostic port behind a panel in front of the passenger seat, you might check that out.
